A Niners Jim Harbaugh Divorce Is On The Horizon
It’s tough times for California’s most annoying team and the losing could lead to a Niners Jim Harbaugh divorce. Mike Hunt of F&TS and a number of NFL ‘insiders,’ are reporting that the San Francisco 49ers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh will not return to the organization next season. It’s expected he will either resign or Harbaugh will be fired. Does the Harbaugh act tire out his players quickly? Yes. Has Harbaugh and GM Jed York disagreed over personnel decisions? Yes. But the real reason for the conflict could be another team’s Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning’s Legacy Looms Large
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports and ESPN reported this morning that the former Michigan Wolverine and Indianapolis Colts’ QB lost the Niners locker room in 2012. Harbaugh recruited Manning to sign with the 49ers as a free agent at the expense of QB Alex Smith. The speculation is Smith asked Harbaugh directly if he planned to recruit Manning and Harbaugh flatly replied, no. Unfortunately, Harbaugh then traveled to North Carolina to meet with Manning. That dishonesty led to mistrust and could cause the Jim Harbaugh Niners divorce.
49ers players no longer have confidence in Harbaugh, even if they win the Super Bowl. The organization appears ready to move on, they just haven’t said it publicly. Good, Bad, or indifferent, Harbaugh has been a great 49ers’ head coach. His .680 winning percentage would rank 10th all-time in NFL history. If San Francisco wins today’s game against the Cardinals, Harbaugh’s percentage would jump to fifth, behind only Guy Chamberlin, John Madden, Vince Lombardi, and George Allen. As Shakespeare wrote, “Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” By the look of our featured image, at least Harbaugh has a future in erotica.
Jim is my coach. We are trying to win a SB, not a personality or popularity contest. Any more questions?
