We are now in Week 2 of the NFL season the second week of the Boldin Beautiful Fantasy Football competition. F&TS brings you unique perspectives on the latest fantasy football rankings and advice to help you dominate your league. But really, we really want to help you avoid the embarrassment of coming in last place or losing to the out of towner in your league. Make sure to check back for our updates about the waiver wire, sleepers, and the injury report. Let’s take a look at our Week 2 NFL Fantasy Football scores and give kudos to the general managers who chose wisely.
Fantasy Football Quarterbacks Scores

Aaron Rodgers for Team Vega (27 points)
Aaron Rodgers threw for three touchdowns in a comeback win for Green Bay Packers over the New York Jets. Wideout Jordy Nelson had a career-high 209 yards receiving and the Packers rallied from an 18-point deficit to win their home opener 31-24 on Sunday. The Packers (1-1) avoided going winless in their first two games. If they had lost, the Packers would have been 0-2 for the first time since 2006.
The normally inconsistent Chicago Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler had quite the afternoon against the San Francisco 49ers. Cutler threw for four touchdowns, hooking up with wide receiver Brandon Marshall twice. The Bears moved to 1-1 on the season with a 28-20 victory over the Niners on the road. Cutler earned 25 fantasy points for Team Craig, but it must have hurt him to start Cutler against his own team, the Niners. Bragging rights makes strange bedfellows.
Fantasy Scores of Running Backs

Darren Sproles for Team Josh (23 points)
The Monday night matchup pitted the Philadelphia Eagles against the Indianapolis Colts. The Eagles moved to 2-0 with a 30-27 win on a last-second field goal by kicker Cody Parkey. The beauty of NFL fantasy football is the impact of RBs as both runners and pass catchers. Darren Sproles only had four rushing attempts for 26 yards. But, Sproles was extremely active in the passing game with seven receptions for 152 yards. His big night earned Team Josh 23 fantasy points.
The Atlanta Falcons hosted the Cincinnati Bengals with both teams coming in undefeated. Once again the dual threat of a running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield paid dividends for GM Mario. Bengals’ Giovani Bernard had 169 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown to propel Cincinnati to a 2-0 to their season. Bernard scored 23 points for Mario. The Colts may have lost on Monday against the Eagles, but fantasy football isn’t about wins and losses. It’s about statistics. Colts’ running back Ahmad Bradshaw scored 21 points for Team Corn.
Wide Receiver Fantasy Scores

Jordy Nelson for Team Brandi (26 points)
As we mentioned, wideout Jordy Nelson had a career-high 209 yards receiving and the Packers rallied from an 18-point deficit to win their home opener 31-24 against the New York Jets on Sunday. Nelson was targeted 16 times and caught nine passes against the Jets’ secondary. We’re not experts here, but a double team might have been in order. Also, we touched on the Bears-Niners game already. Well, Team Craig could have had a better fantasy football week 2, but he kept Brandon Marshall on his bench and missed out on 22 additional points.
The Jets also gave up a big fantasy football week to Packers’ wideout Randall Cobb. Cobb scored 17 points for General Manager Rich.
Tight Ends Fantasy Scores
Antonio Gates for Team Josh (27 points)
A big congratulations to General Manager Josh, who got a second big scoring game from another starter on his team. Seattle’s Legion of Boom defense could not contain San Diego Chargers‘ tight end, Antonio Gates. Gates caught seven receptions for 96 yards and three touchdowns in the Chargers’ win over Seattle. That is quite a Sunday. In other games from around the league, the New Orleans Saints‘ tight end Jimmy Graham earned 23 points in a loss against the Cleveland Browns. Finally, Delanie Walker of the Tennessee Titans scored 20 fantasy points for General Manager Corn.
The rest of the General Managers in the league have work to do. We’ll be back next week with our recap of the NFL Fantasy Football scores in our league.
