Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle Implicates Dez Bryant During Arrest for Shoplifting

The Dallas Cowboys volatile wide receiver Dez Bryant obviously believes in “no snitching.” We have to admit, if a backup running back said our name to the police when he got arrested, we’d be pissed too. If you haven’t been following the drama in Happy Valley, Bryant and the backup running back got into an argument at a recent Cowboys practice. Usually, a fight in practice isn’t a big deal, but this beef surrounds shoplifting and was caught on tape. Joseph Randle, the Dallas Cowboys running back was arrested for stealing underwear and a tester bottle of cologne. He was caught shoplifting at a Dillard’s in Texas. A video shows Randle telling cops, “Dez didn’t miss no games for slapping his mama.” Oh, snap, no he didn’t. We imagine Bryant said something like, “keep my name out your mouth,” during their argument.

Those Are Fighting Words

In the surveillance video, Randle is also heard making comments about teammate Josh Brent, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in 2012. Former Cowboy Jerry Brown died in 2012 in a car accident involving Brent. Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett met individually with Bryant, Randle, and Josh Brent on Friday. Sources told ESPN, Bryant [and Brent] were furious about Randle’s statements to the police. ESPN described the meeting as tense. Garrett has been contemplating cutting Randle because his actions and statements have divided the team. When asked if Randle would play on Sunday against the Cardinals and stay with the team, one source answered, “Randle is staying for now.”

Let’s Go to the Videotape

TMZ Sports obtained the surveillance footage showing Randle at Dillard’s in Frisco, TX back in October 2014. Randle does the ‘over the shoulder look’ as he puts the underwear in his bag. Randle then moves over to the cologne section and steals a bottle of Gucci Guilty Black. Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle tried to casually slip out the door, but security moves in and takes him into custody.
