Fantasy Football Tips: Gettin’ It In, Week 7
Starts of the Week
We have come to trust Nick Mensio of Rotoworld and his weekly player projections. Too bad I absolutely butchered my draft and the waiver wire hasn’t helped me much either. Now I also find out that Pats’ RB Dion Lewis is injured. It’s going to be a long Sunday for us. Hopefully, our readers will have a better week. Take a look at Nick’s best bet and our perspective.
Quarterbacks
Carson Palmer v. The Ravens
Palmer has been a consistent weekly fantasy stud, but I am starting to be concerned. The Cardinals have not looked the same in the past two weeks and will be going up against a Steelers secondary that is the worst in the league statistically. A Carson bounce back should be in order and an added bonus, Michael Floyd has begun to revert back to his late season form of 2014.
Running Backs
Todd Gurley (Rams) v. Browns
Gurley is the chalkiest play of the week. Twitter is full of Gurley love. He’s had back-to-back 140-yard rushing games since taking over as the Rams’ lead back. He is also averaging 24.5 carries per game over the last weeks. Plus, it’s the Browns. We wouldn’t be surprised if the Rams are big picks in knockout pools and pick’em contests.
Wide Receivers
Donte Moncrief (Colts) v. Saints
We know the Saints defense has been awful against the pass. Most of New Orleans games are shootouts. That trend benefits Drew Brees owners, but the Colts and QB Andrew Luck have been frustratingly inconsistent. It will be tough to rely on Moncrief for big fantasy points.
Our Verdict
We hate when so many teams have byes. Sleepers will be hard to find this week.
