We hate to admit it, but we’ve watched the VH1 reality show “Flavor of Love.” Yes, that Flavor of Love, the reality competition where twenty different women compete Flava Flav. If you’re a fan of 90s hip-hop, and who isn’t–you know Flav was the hype man of Public Enemy. In turns out Team Weiss General Manager Josh also watches the show. This week, he picked Season 2 winner Chandra Davis as his unofficial team ambassador. One of the unique features of the show is that every contestant gets a nickname. Flava Flav gave Chandra Davis the nickname Deelishis. Deelishis won her season after Flav chose her over Tiffany “New York” Pollard.

Since her win, Deelishis has become an in-demand urban model, a Detroit radio personality, and a mother. Congratulations on the new addition to your family. You’ve come a long way from reality show stardom. Also good news, Team Weiss may have had some early technical difficulties with selecting his ambassadors, but he finally got his team together.

Deelishis’ God-Given Assets

Davis got a lot of attention and fans for her voluptuous figure. She’s dealt with the attention all her life. Now that she is more in the public spotlight, she tries to take all the attention in stride. She spoke with VH1 about her gravity-defying assets.

VH1: I’m glad you brought that booty up – you know big butts are everywhere. Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj get a lot of credit for that but you were sporting your butt long before. What do you make of the trend?

Deelishis: “I mean I was born with it and back in my day, when I was in high school it was called being fat. By the time I got to college it was considered being “thick.” Now, as an adult, it’s considered “phat” with a P-H. Back in the Flavor of Love days, it was great that even then someone with my shape could be in a winning position.” I like to think that I paved the way for lots of women and made it something that was accepted. Not only was it accepted but it was embraced…

She added, “Nicki Minaj was doing an interview with Funkmaster Flex and he said, “You gotta be the number one butt in the world, who would you say number two was,” and she replied, “Deelishis.” I smiled, I was pretty honored by that!”

With her burgeoning media career and new family, Chandra Deelishis Davis is much more than her figure. Respect.
