The head writer of F&TS is Colombian, by way of New York. His heritage has been a blessing and a curse. There are constant drug dealing stereotypes and negative portrayal of the country’s violent civil war. It’s hard out here for a pimp, but the beautiful women are a definite plus. Need proof? Take a look at Team Marin’s beautiful trio of caleñas. Caleñas is a colloquialism for Colombian women from the city of Cali. The pictured trio won this week’s Money Maker Monday competition hands down. But in service to our readers, we thought we would put you some advice for dating Colombian women or Latinas in general.

Rules of Dating a Latina

Most of the owners in the Boldin Beautiful Fantasy Football League are Caucasian. We have respect for white boys, but honestly, Colombian women have a different outlook on life and relationships. It’s not as simple as it looks and if you aren’t careful, you could experience Colombian violence first-hand. Head over to Cosmopolitan.com for the full list.

These Rules Aren’t Made to be Broken

The number one for dating a Latina is don’t call them spicy or feisty. If you didn’t know, the spicy or feisty label is a Hollywood troupe. Cosmo adds, “Unless she uses those words to describe herself, in which case she may not mind if you do either. Also, don’t compare her to food. An ex-boyfriend once asked me if he could call me his “little tamale.” I know I like to eat, but (a) no, and (b) WRONG COUNTRY DUDE.”

Rule number two for dating Colombian women or Latinas in general, don’t expect to speak Spanish in bed. If you ask a Latina to do so, it can get awkward real quick. Let the bilingual dirty talk happen naturally. Lastly, don’t expect her to call you ‘Papi.’ Well, she might. But only on very special occasions, so don’t bank on it.
