Philip Rivers Highlights Blockbuster Week 10 Fantasy Football Trade (2014-15)

After ten weeks of the NFL season, the standings in our Fantasy Football league are relatively competitive. But apparently, Team Weiss is content to be competitive. There are big stakes on the line for our overall winners and Weiss feels one big-ticket move could put him over the top. Towards that end, Team Weiss and the Commish have agreed to a big trade. Team Weiss has sent Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant to The Commish in exchange for San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers. This Philip Rivers fantasy football trade is a blockbuster move intended to better position Team Weiss for the playoffs. But is it kosher?

To this point in the season, the Chargers are 5-4 going into their bye week and Rivers is the 12th rank quarterback in fantasy leagues.

The Cowboys’ number one receiver has missed four games due to injuries but has four touchdowns and an average of 13 fantasy points per week since returning to the active roster.

Smells Fishy

F&TS doesn’t see conspiracies everywhere, but this deal seems odd. Can and should the commissioner of a fantasy league approve his own trade? We didn’t see that loophole in our copy of the rules. F&TS may call for an investigation by our crack insiders, Mike Hunt and Richie ‘Dick’ Burns into this agreement. We would be surprised if some money exchanged hands in order to finalize this Philip Rivers fantasy football trade. Stay tuned for details as they come available.
