NFL Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Transactions of Week 10 (2014-15)

Owners in our NFL fantasy football league are getting anxious with three games left before the playoffs. If you’re a struggling team, F&TS is willing to provide one and one insider advice. But it comes at a price. Hey, we’re not a cheap date. If you haven’t made a transaction, the rules are simple. Owners put a claim for that player but must wait until the waiver clears. The team that puts a claim on a player, and the owner with the higher waiver priority number, gets the player. All available players who are not on waivers are free agents. Remember, winning your fantasy league is a week-to-week process, which means picking up crucial free agents throughout the season is extremely important. Let’s delve deeper into our fantasy football waiver wire transactions and see what moves stood out.

Mark Sanchez On the Move

The Commish dropped Chicago Bears veteran quarterback Jay Cutler and added Mark Sanchez from the Philadelphia Eagles to his roster. This move has some of us scratching our heads. For the most part, Cutler has been a productive fantasy player. With the exception of Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins, Cutler has scored double-digits weekly. Sanchez will get another opportunity to resurrect his career with the Eagles and Chip Kelly, but haven’t we seen enough of Sanchez already? The Commissioner is taking a huge risk with this move.

Other big names on the move were Team Weiss adding Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, and running back, Adrian Peterson joining Team Brandi.

Rules to Remember

To help prevent “cycling” players through free agency, a player that is added and released on the same day will remain a free agent. Some owners try to take advantage of the rule. Intentional cycling of players through waivers is a serious offense and may result in a team being banned in Premium Standard Leagues. Remember to check in next week for the notable moves from the Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire.
