NFL Fantasy Football League Projections for Week 7 (2014-15)
Several of the league’s team owners will be watching the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) face the Denver Broncos (4-1) on Sunday night. FT&S readers know that our Commish is a very confused, but loyal 49ers fan. But little did you know that he is also a closeted Peyton Manning fan. He argues that he does not like Peyton, Eli, Archie, or even Cooper, but his closest friends know the truth. See what we did there, 49ers/closet…anyway. This is the marquee matchup of the weekend. Let’s take a close at the game and at the fantasy football projections for Week 7.
A key stat to monitor during the game is that future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning only needs three touchdowns to surpass Brett Favre‘s NFL record of 508 TDs. If the 49ers hope to defeat the Broncos, they will need a disciplined game plan. In service to 49ers coaches and players, we’re listing some winning strategies. The advice is compliments of Bleacher Report and F&TS.
Key Fantasy Football Implications

The 49ers must contain Broncos tight end, Julius Thomas, who has become one of Peyton Manning’s favorite targets. Without key linebacker Patrick Willis, who is injured and out of the game, stopping Thomas will be much more difficult. It will be interesting to see if the Niners try to cover the versatile Thomas with a linebacker or safety. The Niners must also get pressure on Manning, preferably up the middle. Manning’s lack of mobility makes him susceptible to pressure in his face.
One of Manning’s strengths, as he has gotten older–is his quick release. The Niners’ cornerbacks and safeties must jam Broncos’ receivers at the line and avoid giving them free releases. Lastly, it’s always a good idea to play ball control against a Manning offense, so the 49ers must get the ground game going with running back Frank Gore.
Now that we’ve previewed the Sunday night game, here are our NFL fantasy football projections for Week 7.
