Aaron Rodgers Will Need Extra Consoling From Olivia Munn

Let’s hope Aaron Rodgers and his girlfriend Olivia Munn pick a great destination for a post-NFL season vacation. Because A-Rod will need some heavy-duty consoling. Munn will need to perform magic to help her man get over his team’s shocking loss to the Seattle Seahawks. The Green Bay Packers held Russell Wilson and his crew scoreless in the first half of yesterday’s NFC Championship game. But, after a wild second-half and overtime session, it’s Seattle that will go the Super Bowl. Unbelievable.

Green Bay First Half Perfection

Rodgers started the game with an interception to the Seahawks’ Richard Shermanbut after Green Bay Packers’ safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix picked off Russell Wilson, Green Bay scored a field goal to go up 3-0. On Seattle’s kickoff return, Doug Baldwin fumbled and set up the Packers’ second FG. The defensive battle swung in the Packers favor after Rodgers finally hit wide receiver Randall Cobb in the end zone. Wilson closed out the half with two interceptions and the Packers went into halftime with a 16-0 lead feeling in total command of the game. They were 24 minutes away from the Super Bowl.

All Downhill in Second Half

It’s amazing how special teams can flip the momentum of a game in an instant. The Seahawks finally got on the scoreboard on a fake field goal. Holder John Ryan threw a 19 yd pass to lineman Garry Gilliam for the unlikely touchdown. The Packers went back to work, scoring another FG to make the score 19-7 at the end of the third quarter. With 2:09 remaining in the fourth quarter, Seattle scored a touchdown on a quarterback keeper by Russell Wison. Packers still lead the NFC Championship game 19-14. The Seahawks successfully recovered an onside kick and moved down the field to score the go-ahead touchdown, 20-19. Head coach Pete Carroll went for two and Wilson completed a ‘Hail Mary’ two-point conversion to give his team at 22-19 lead.

But, if you could imagine, the game didn’t end there. With a little more than a minute left in regulation, Rodgers led the Packers down the field and set up Mason Crosby for the game-tying FG. The score was tied 22-22. The Seahawks got the ball first in overtime and after two long passes, Seattle had won the game 28-22. Wilson threw a walk-off 35-yard-pass to wide receiver Jermaine Kearse. Seattle is going to the Super Bowl.

The Rodgers and Munn Power Duo

At least Aaron Rodgers gets to go home to the alluring and gorgeous Olivia Munn. Munn and Rodgers first appeared as a couple publicly in 2014. And while some have credited her influence on Rodgers for his great stats this season, she brushes off the compliment. “All the good luck charms are on the field and in the stands,” she said during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” She added, “It has nothing to do with me.” For Packers fans, they were hoping the good vibes of the Rodgers Munn relationship lasted for 24 more minutes.
