NFL Postgame Injury Report for Week 3 (2014)
American football is the ultimate week to week battle of attrition. The NFL, in particular, is so physical the championship fortunes of any team can disappear in a matter of plays. It’s why injury reports have become so important, especially as legal NFL gambling and fantasy football have increased in popularity. After two weeks, the Baltimore Ravens had a record a 1-1 with a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Sunday, the Ravens’ 23-21 victory over the Cleveland Browns came at a huge price. Tight end Dennis Pitta dislocated his right hip and will be out for the remainder of the season, based on the postgame reports. Unfortunately, Pitta is just one of several NFL players who could miss significant time due to injury. Week 3 in the NFL several key injuries based on postgame injury reports coming in from around the league.

Pitta To Miss Significant Time
Pitta was carted off the field after his injury in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. He stayed in Cleveland overnight while doctors assess his injury. This is the second time Pitta has injured his right hip in just over a year. He dislocated and fractured the hip during training camp last season and played just four games. Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced that Dennis Pitta would be out for the season following hip surgery on Monday afternoon.
The Oakland Raiders could be without wide receiver Rod Streater for an extended period of time due to a lower-body injury as well. Streater will have minor foot surgery and should return in four to five weeks, after fracturing his foot on Sunday. The injury occurred during the Raiders’ loss to the New England Patriots. But the Indianapolis Colts may be counting their blessings as No.1 receiver T.Y. Hilton injured his ankle. Thankfully, the injury isn’t considered serious and Hilton is expected to be ready for Week 4.
