NFL Fantasy Football Advice for Week 12 — Who Will Get It In?

Thanksgiving was a wild day in the fortunes of the NFC East. The division is so bad, it should be renamed the NFC Least. The Detroit Lions blew out the Philadelphia Eagles 45-14. The Dallas Cowboys lost both the game to the Carolina Panthers (33-14) and their quarterback, Tony Romo, to another injury to his clavicle. Everything is lining up for the New York Giants to put a stranglehold on the division. That’s why we are more nervous than a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Michael Fabiano, Senior Fantasy Analyst for the NFL.com and The NFL Network expects Eli Manning to score big fantasy points this weekend against Washington. But, if you’re looking for additional NFL fantasy football advice for Week 12, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll dissect Fabiano’s projections and add on our own thoughts. Good luck setting your rosters.

Fantasy Football Starts At Quarterbacks

Eli Manning versus Washington

Eli Manning is having the strong season many expected from him, albeit with some inconsistency. The Giants signal-caller currently ranks inside the top 10 in FanDuel fantasy points scored for the season. Washington ranks 22nd in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks and carries a 20-6 touchdown to interception ratio. Injuries are also hurting Washington. A torn ACL will keep cornerback Chris Culliver sidelined for the remainder of the season. This is a strong week for the Manning to Odell Beckham connection to go off.

Brian Hoyer versus The Saints

We know the New Orleans Saints‘ defense has been bad and opposing quarterbacks light up the Black and Gold, but it’s Brian Hoyer. The Texans’ defense has stabilized and besides De’Andre Hopkins, Houston’s offense has been as erratic as Johnny Manziel‘s starting status. In our opinion, look elsewhere for your quarterback start. Our NFL fantasy football advice at quarterback for Week 12 is Carson Palmer against the San Francisco 49ers or Ryan Tannehill versus the New York Jets.

Best Fantasy Running Backs

Chris Ivory versus the Miami Dolphins

We wholeheartedly disagree with Fabiano on this pick. We expect the Miami Dolphins to beat the New York Jets this weekend, because of the lack of a consistent ground game by Gang Green. Chris Ivory is not the fantasy football stud he was earlier in the year due to a sore hamstring and groin. Last week against the Texans, Ivory ran eight times for 36 yards for a grand total of five fantasy points.

Chris Johnson (Arizona Cardinals) versus the 49ers

This is a solid choice on the part of Michael Fabiano, the Niners run defense is dreadful, so Chris Johnson should thrive if he’s healthy.

Wide Receivers To Start

Larry Fitzgerald versus the 49ers

Larry Fitzgerald has become a legend again, but if you are in a standard scoring fantasy league, wide receiver John Brown might be the wiser choice.

Allen Robinson versus the Chargers

We expect a high scoring game with both Jaguars’ wide receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns getting a significant number of targets from quarterback Blake Bortles.
