Sports Illustrated Cover Model Hannah Davis is Crush Worthy
You don’t have to be a female to select Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model Hannah Davis as your crush on a Wednesday. Davis is so stunning, her beauty is timeless any day of the week. The 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue features Davis on its cover with the headline, “America the Beautiful.” We certainly aren’t going to disagree with that statement. She gorgeous, charismatic and is a wonderful symbol of Americana. But Davis does have one major flaw, her taste in men. The former member of the Caribbean National tennis team is currently dating Derek Jeter.
Sports fandom aside, our concern about Davis dating Jeter is less about the Yankees and more about his reputation. As the New York Post reported in 2011, Jeter alleged does not treat his female conquests very well. “Derek has girls stay with him at his apartment in New York, and then he gets them a car to take them home the next day. Waiting in his car is a gift basket containing signed Jeter memorabilia, usually a signed baseball,” the friend dished. Not exactly a class move Derek. Let’s hope Davis never gets the swag bag treatment.
Sports In Her Genes
Davis got her start in modeling because of sports. Growing up in the U.S. Virgin Islands, she played on the Caribbean junior tennis circuit until she was 18. Davis told GQ Magazine in 2015, “[I] started modeling to buy tennis rackets,” she says. “And it kiiinda grew from there.” (True-ish statement! For her pitch-ladyship with DirecTV, in which she hangs with a talking horse on some azure coastline, she made, like, 8,427 tennis rackets. And the gazillion-carat meteor on her left hand is said—by at least one person!—to have set Jeter back about 1,342 Louisville Sluggers.)
Talk about being multi-talented. Could you imagine if Davis would have continued playing tennis? Between Davis, Ana Ivanovic, Caroline Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova, and Serena Williams, center court at Wimbledon could have become a fashion runway. Oh well, the USTA’s loss is Derek Jeter’s gain. As if ‘The Captain’ needed any more good luck. The 25-year-old cover girl also gave the writers of GQ some quick tennis lessons. Where can we sign up? We would tennis lessons from Hannah Davis, one of the most strikingly beautiful Sports Illustrated cover models in the last decade.
