The Waiver Wire of Our Fantasy Football League for Week 5 (2014-15)

Some of the owners in our fantasy football league are as schizophrenic as the inmates at Bellevue Hospital. For instance, Team Super Mario…what gives? On your fantasy roster, you replace Pittsburgh Steelers’ tight end Heath Miller with Seattle Seahawks tight end Zach Miller. What’s that about? You aren’t happy unless your tight end is named ‘Miller?’ Certain owners (the smart ones) are heeding our advice and paying better attention to the NFL fantasy waiver wire and whose available in free agency. Remember, these moves could decide who wins and who is the biggest loser. Here is a list of this week’s other odd transactions in our fantasy football league.

Notable Fantasy Football Roster Moves

Overall the waiver wire was not very active this week. The most notable move by owners, besides the Miller for Miller move, was the addition of a running back. Team Velez smartly is looking for more production from his running backs. So he dropped Cincinnati Bengals back Jeremy Hill and added Minnesota Vikings Jerick McKinnon. Except for a breakout performance in Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons scoring 16 fantasy football points, Hill has been a fantasy non-factor. Interestingly enough Velez may be hoping McKinnon’s 15 point performance against the same Falcons in Week 4 is a sign of his performance to come for the remainder of the season.

Only time will tell. Good luck owners. I hope I beat you all this weekend.
