Cowboy Tony Romo Injured Again, Heard Saying “My Neck, My Back, My Neck and My Back”
Tony, Time to Call it a Career
Tell me if you heard this story before. The Cowboys have the best offensive line in the league and a running back who could be a game changer. If they can keep their starting QB healthy, they are title contenders. Well, that QB won’t be Tony Romo. In a preseason game against the Seahawks, Romo suffered a broken bone in his back and is expected to miss at least 6 weeks.
Disclaimer: Not Tony Romo’s actual X-ray
Call Romo ‘Mr. Glass’
Tony “Mr. Glass” Romo will be trying to rehab his third major injury in the last three years. The initial reports said that Romo would not require surgery and his injury ‘wasn’t that serious.’ But major credit to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who reported Romo would miss half the season. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones described the loss of Romo as…
“a punch to the gut.” [Jones] told the Dallas Morning News the team is open to possibly acquiring another quarterback. He added that Romo is intent on not seeing a repeat of 2015 play out.
You never want to wish injury on a player, but as a Giants fan, the path to the playoffs is now wide open. What I am saying is that Big Blue may have a chance.
