Crisis in Washington: RGIII Alienating His Teammates
Selling Out Cost RGIII the Locker Room.
A House Divided.
ESPN’s NFL Countdown via Britt McHenry and Adam Schefter reported that Washington’s decision to start RGIII over Colt McCoy (yeah that Colt McCoy), has divided the locker room. McCoy had led the team to two straight wins over the Titans and Cowboys. Before the team’s Week 9 game against the Vikings, Head Coach Jay Gruden announced Griffin would be starting. When RGIIIbegan addressing the media in the locker room on Friday, about 15 teammates began shouting. ESPN went further by reporting that the decision to start the oft-injured QB was an “owner- and general manager-driven decision.”
I asked Jay Gruden if Dan Snyder had anything to do with decision to start RG3. "No. Not even a conversation. Its my call." #Redskins

It seems that a segment of Griffin’s teammates have lost confidence in the quarterback and prefer McCoy. A source familiar with the incident told ESPN’s Britt McHenry that Griffin has “alienated himself” from the locker room. Why isn’t RGIII trusted? Let’s review, he’s always injured, since becoming a ‘Redskin’ he’s received preferential treatment from owner Daniel Snyder, the Baylor star has exhibited diva tendencies and has starred in more commercials than games.
The Bottom Line
RGIII has made mistakes as an NFL player. Rather than inspire and unify his team, he distances himself. Our advice is…stop eating Subway, get 100% healthy, and move into the film room.
