NFL Under Fire for Peterson Surrender
Peterson Abused His Son.
The NFL is starting to look more like Rikers Isle on a Friday night. Adrian Peterson becomes the second high-profile running back to be in trouble with the law in recent weeks. According to TMZ, Vikings All-Pro Adrian Peterson has been indicted for child abuse. Allegedly he disciplined his son with a tree branch or as the OGs call it, a “switch.” In statements released to the media, Peterson’s attorneys said, “The charged conduct involves using a switch to spank his son.” His surrender comes on the heels of the Ray Rice domestic abuse incident with his girlfriend.
AD’s statement elaborated, “This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who’ve been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment…to discipline his son.” “He used the same kind of discipline…he experienced as a child growing up in East Texas.”
Owners, you should bench “AD” this week in your leagues. Update: According to various reports, Peterson won’t play on Sunday. He has been placed on the ‘Commissioner’s Exempt’ list.
The Longest Yard
The 2015 Super bowl might need to be held in Sing Sing instead of Arizona. Or perhaps the NFL is trying to reboot The Longest Yard. All FTS has got to say to AD “don’t drop the soap.”
