Fantasy Football League Projections: Week 7 (2014-15)
Old Style vs New Style QB.
Several of the league’s team owners will be watching the San Francisco 49ers (4-2) face the Denver Broncos(4-1) on Sunday night. FTS readers know that our Commish is a very confused, but loyal 49ers fan, but little did you know that he is also a closeted Peyton Manning fan. He argues that he does not like Peyton, Eli, Archie, or even Cooper, but his closest friends know the truth. Let’s also take a look at the fantasy football matchup projections for the week.
See what we did there, 49ers/closet…anyway. It’s a big matchup and we may see some history. First ballot Hall of Famer Peyton Manning only needs three touchdowns to surpass Packer Brett Favre and his record of 508. If the 49ers hope to defeat the Broncos, here is the game plan, compliments of Bleacher Report and FTS.
The 49ers must contain TE Julius Thomas. Without Patrick Willis, who is injured and out of the game, stopping Thomas will be much more difficult. The Niners must also get pressure on Manning, preferably up the middle. One of Manning’s strengths, as he has gotten older is his quick release. Niners cornerbacks and safeties must jam Broncos’ receivers at the line. Lastly, it’s always a good idea to play ball control against a Manning offense, so the 49ers must get the ground game going with RB Frank Gore.
Now that we’ve previewed the Sunday night game, here are our league matchup projections for Week 7.
