Playoff Push.

There’s been a trade in the Boldin Beautiful Fantasy Football league. Team Weiss has sent Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant to The Commish for QB Philip Rivers. This is a blockbuster move intended to better position Team Weiss for the playoffs.

Rivers is averaging 22.7 fantasy points per week in standard scoring leagues. He has thrown for nearly 2,400 yards and 20 touchdowns through 10 games. The Chargers are 5-4 going into their bye week. He is the 12th rank quarterback in fantasy leagues. The Cowboys number one receiver has missed four games due to injuries but has four touchdowns and an average of 13 fantasy points per week.

Smells Fishy

FTS doesn’t see conspiracies everywhere, but this deal seems odd. Can the commissioner approve his own trade? We didn’t see that loophole in our copy of the rules. FTS may call for an investigation by our crack insiders, Mike Hunt and Richie ‘Dick’ Burns into this agreement. We would be surprised if some money exchanged hands or at least a percentage of any winnings if Team Weiss goes on to win the league. Stay tuned for details as they come available.
