Gettin’ It In Fantasy…Football That is (Week 4)

I sh&t the bed and got my ass handed to me by Team “don’t call me the “Kiss of Death,” Vega in week 3, but I am trying to take it all in stride. So far, Week 4 is off to a better start as my First Round Draft Pick, A.J. Green went off on Thursday night against the Dolphins. Check out his stats, 10 receptions for 173 yards and a TD. In our league Green’s big night equaled 24 points. I’ll take it. This week, we will be looking at who BroBible expects to have a big fantasy week 4 in our latest edition of “Gettin It In.” Remember, always wrap it before you tap it.

Wide Receivers

Besides Antonio Brown, who is expected to be a top 3 WR option against the Chiefs, definitely start:

DeSean Jackson (WAS) – “The Browns have allowed the most fantasy points to receivers so far this year, so it’s a nice weekend to dress up in Washington’s uniforms.” Word of caution, if you are in a PPR league, Jackson does not get a lot of targets, but somehow consistently makes a big play. IMO, better play in a TD league.

Allen Hurns (JAX) – The Colts secondary and defense has been offensive through four weeks, but Hurns should get on track in this AFC South matchup. The Jags have underperformed on the field and the receiving duo of Hurns and Robinson have burned GM’s who drafted them based on pre-season prognostications. Hurns hasn’t gotten into end zone yet. I hope he remembers what it looks like.

Philip Rivers (SD) – At home against the Saints, a defense that is missing key pieces and even when healthy hasn’t played well in two seasons. Start him and his bolo ties. Also, extra piece of advice, if you need to pick up a TE, do the double and start Hunter Henry, although its difficult to trust a guy with two first names.

Joe Flacco, (BAL) – “Oakland has given up the most passing yards of any team in the league so far, but people will be quick to point out that Tennessee didn’t get anywhere last week. Flacco has thrown at least 33 passes in each game so far and will air it out again this weekend at home where he’s historically been a strong quarterback.” I don’t like the Ravens’ lack of playmakers. Buyer beware.

Runnings Backs

  • Jordan Howard (CHI) vs. Lions
  • LeGarrette Blount (NE) vs. Bills
  • Melvin Gordon (SD) vs. the Saints – I hope this is right. He is my RB 1 this week.
