Injury Report: Down Goes a Moreno Dolphin
Three Letters No Athlete Wants to Hear, ACL.
A torn ACL injury has ended another running back’s season. FTS insider Richie “Dick” Burns confirmed that Dolphins RB Knowshon Moreno suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 6 against the Packers. Moreno signed a free-agent contract with the Dolphins in 2014, after playing for the Denver Broncos for five seasons.
No.2 RB Lamar Miller becomes the Dolphins’ primary ball carrier. Miller is in his third season with the Dolphins. He was drafted in the fourth round from the University of Miami in 2012. The ACL tear has completely derailed Moreno’s tenure with the Dolphins. He showed great potential as a back in Denver with Peyton Manning under center. Before signing in Miami, Moreno set career-highs with 1,038 yards rushing, 548 yards receiving and 13 total touchdowns.
Fantasy owners better adjust their rosters accordingly if they drafted Moreno.
