FFL: Dumbass Move of Week 6 (2014-15)
Here is a riddle for you, how do you score 119 fantasy points and still lose? Simple, if you are Team Marin you bench QB Tom Brady and start Detroit Lions’ QB, Matt Stafford. Stafford was missing two of his prime targets, WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) and RB Reggie Bush (ankle). Brady on the other hand was facing an AFC opponent, the Buffalo Bills that don’t beat the Patriots ever.
Brady’s Week 6 stats were 27-37 for 361 yards, four touchdowns and a total of 30 fantasy football points (standard scoring). In comparison, Stafford went 19-33 for 185 yards with one touchdown and was sacked four times. He scored a grand total of 13 fantasy points in a win against the Vikings. Talk about stupid. Way to go Team Marin. Your Dumbass Move of the Week served up a Team Weiss victory on a silver platter.
So far, Team Marin and Team Weiss have been of the stronger performers in the league. They have been battling for the top spots in their respective conferences since Week 3. It may not seem like a big deal now, but down the line, this loss could be big for playoff seeding. Team Marin can’t afford to make dumb decisions again.
