NFL Injury: Steelers’ Big Ben Comes Tumbling Down
Gain One, Lose One.
The enthusiasm of RB Le’Veon Bell returning to the lineup of the Steelers was tempered by a substantial injury to QB Ben Roethlisberger. During Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams, Big Ben was tackled low by Rams safety Mark Barron and carted off the field. According to FTS’ Richie “Dick” Burns, Roethlisberger was seen walking around the locker room on crutches and is scheduled to have an MRI in Pittsburgh on Monday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported, “Ben is expected to be sidelined at least four weeks. But hope is that it’s not a season-ending injury. Still could be.” In the meantime, backup QB Michael Vick will be taking snaps for the Black and Yellow. Owners, adjust your rosters. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
