Too Vital to Lose.

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. has been the lone bright spot of the team’s dismal 2014-15 season, but his antics are starting to piss his opponents off. During the second quarter, Rams LB Alec Ogletree rode Beckham out of bounds aggressively. Beckham Jr. didn’t like the hit and shoved the ball in the linebacker’s face. Then a massive brawl between the two teams broke out. USA Today’s, The Big Lead described the incident this way,

As Beckham tried to get up, Ogletree pushed him in the face, and Beckham kicked him. From there, all hell broke loose. Beckham was being held back by New York punter Steve Weatherford. Eventually, Preston Parker and Damontre Moore of the Giants were ejected from the game. The Rams’ William Hayes was also tossed. Maybe the fight was a Georgia (Ogletree) vs. LSU (Beckham) thing?

Beckham Was Killing The Rams

The St. Louis Rams clearly wanted to send a message. Too bad Beckham Jr. had already caught two touchdowns and had over 100 yards receiving. Our words of advice for the rookie receiver. We love your swag, but if you want to have some longevity and avoid cheap shots, you might want to bring down your trash talking down a notch.

Lost in the first half brawl was a big day for OBJ and the Giants offense. The Giants defeated the St. Louis Rams, 37-27, for their third straight victory. Beckham broke the Giants’ rookie receiving record with his 74th catch of the year. TE Jeremy Shockey was the Giants’ previous record holder. OBJ also had two touchdowns and now owns the franchise rookie record with 11, breaking Bill Swiacki’s record.

Eli Manning was on point. He went 25-of-32 for 391 yards and three touchdowns. His passer rating was 148.8for the day. Also, Rueben Randle had six catches for 132 yards, including a 49-yarder.
